(TEPCO) has announced.
In fact, as the power plant in a new estimate of the Fukushima No. 3 reactor construction shows that all-or nearly all-fuel rods contained within were melted, dropping the isolation of the vessel to the floor. If true, the news means the power plant could be even harder to unravel.
According to the Japan Times TEPCO first is expected back in November 2011, that approximately 63% of the reactor's fuel rods had melted.
But TEPCO, believes that after examining the circumstances surrounding the fuel for a nuclear reactor cooling system stopped functioning for more than five hours earlier than previously estimated. As a result, the meltdown would have begun around the same time.
As reported by the Yomiuri Shimbun, it is possible that more nuclear power plants to fuel the ship rests in isolation than originally estimated, removing it still requires careful planning.
"The core of the meltdown is believed to have started in the past than previously thought, the melted nuclear fuel, who moved a lot of isolation since the beginning of the pressure vessel is considered to have been even further, so technically difficult to extract to the melted fuel and dispose of it," said the newspaper.
Despite the new findings, however, TEPCO spokesman Shinichi Kawamura said he still did not expect to find some fuel, which was melted down.
"We believe that the fuel still in the central part of the actual plant data," he said, as quoted by the Japan times.
The news comes as the nuclear industry in meltdown effects are felt throughout the region. At the end of July, the new report found a Japanese famous macaque monkeys was positive for blood abnormalities, which can potentially make them more susceptible to infectious diseases. The testing of wild monkeys in Fukushima area and blood exams results were related to the radioactive fallout in a nuclear power station.
At the same time, another report from the Japanese Ministry of agriculture, said in July that fourteen different rice fields outside the power plant-all the evacuation zone-radioactive material. RT Announces evacuation of the other five inside the zone and then was also contaminated, push the Ministry to implement better measures of protection for the future work of the factory for TEPCO to order
